I am a native of Stamford Connecticut; I enlisted as a Seaman Recruit in the United States Navy in February of 1980. Having achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer, I ended my first enlistment in 1995 to pursue a civilian career in the food service industry where I certified as a food service executive. After a six year break in service I joined the United States Naval Reserves in July 2001 at the rank of Chief Petty Officer, where after my first drill weekend I was mobilized into active service. I returned to Active duty status (USN) while stationed at Guantanamo Bay Cuba in September of 2002. I am currently serving in the flag mess of Commander Carrier Strike Group Two. |
